The Art Room - life drawing workshop

The Art Room is hosting a fun and challenging full day life drawing workshop where students will work with a model in short and long poses for the whole day in a creative and supportive environment.

Exercises will explore gesture, form, space, proportion, structure, relationships and above all build confidence. This workshop is suitable for beginners but also for experienced artists wanting to challenge their current practice. The workshop will challenge the student’s understanding and interpretation of what they see and how they represent that and learn to be critical and solve drawing problems as they occur. This workshop will also provide a great opportunity for those students preparing folios for tertiary entry.

The workshop is run by Erika Gofton, a professional artist and experienced qualified teacher with over 20 years exhibiting and industry experience, including currently teaching drawing at the Victoiran College of the Arts. For Erika’s portfolio and a CV visit
