Recently I've become obsessed with dahlias, they're just such a beautiful flower.. My lovely neighbour gave me some of her bulbs to plant and I was beyond excited when they flowered. I was admiring my handiwork one day and the idea for this piece popped into my head. It's not for a particular series or exhibition, it was just for me, created just because I had the idea. I really love this piece, it's exactly how I pictured it in my head. Creating art for yourself is the best feeling. It's just the best. Full stop.
